Was wondering if anyone had experience with carpet anenomes? I went to the LFS and saw, what I thought a beauty. Bought it without looking up, had to have it. Turns out in my research that they are very aggressive and like fish for dinner. They get huge---maybe a yard long----and I have a 72gal bowfront! Still researching and read where others have had them and they didnt bother a thing. So now Im totally confused. Help!
Would aslo like to thank everyone out there. I have learned a great deal by using this forum. A special thanks to Mike that has made my aquarium look like a coral reef. I hope to return the favor one day.

Carpet anemone's shouldn't reach out and eat fish unless the fish is dumb and swims into it and stays on it and get eaten. Most of the fish that get eaten are the ones that are dead or dying and the anemone gets it.

All depends were it came from. Some are great hosts for clown and some will not host.

You should keep an eye on any fish that tend to perch on things... Carpet's are capable of eating smaller gobies, etc. that tend to hop from place to place on the sand bed.
