It actually looks better in person, I flipped it over to take photos to send to the Vendor, so it is a bit upset
The real issue here is that instead of sending me a Gigantea they sent me a Haddoni...duh!


Second strike in a row from the same Vendor. This was a replacement/refund for a DOA gig I received 2 weeks ago. :worried:

Can't really tell, but looks like my two gigs in my tank.

i cant tell, but my experience is very limited.

It looks "gig like", but no colored verrucae.
There are some visible marks but they are barely visible.

The tentacles do look like a freshly deliverd gig to me.

The stalk looks think in comparison to the rest of the body and I don't see colored verrucae, so I'm going with haddoni. However, it looks like photo 3 shows some verrucae, but it's also what verrucae on haddoni look like. But also on bleached gigs. That last photo makes it look a lot like a gig though. I can see how the vendor screwed up. Tentacles on gigs appear pointier though, and less bulbous.

I'm going with haddoni. :lol2:

There are times when I look at it and it seems like a hybrid, but the lack of purple verrucae and the fact that it didn't attach to rocks in 2 days, but it attached immediately to the bare bottom of the tank really point towards Haddoni almost without doubt. Tentacles have stayed short and tips are round along the edges. Also, it clearly doesn't like strong flow.

btw, I'm still waiting for customer service to get back to me....I guess they must be staring at the photos I sent trying to ID it

There's only one way to find out for sure... Acclimate it.

It's a Haddoni. Put him in the tank and wait a few days, then you know for sure
