7 weeks , 1 day. Well now for the real test. Just got that group of juvies at the Midwest Fragfest. A few have laid in him already. Just hoping it doesn't stress him out too much. Kept the Original Occy, so should not be a problem(hopefully). Colors get deeper tan everyday. Now to "hunt" for a 2nd Gigantia.
Agaian bad pics, but there is basically no white, yellow, or lime green, except the tight mouth =).

Yes, I'm jealous. You get a totally bleached anemone and it never deflates, and I get a colored one and it never inflates. I swear, just finding one that has survived in captivity for more than 2 months is about the best thing you can do. I'd pay triple for a bleached one that someone has kept for a long time over a colored one fresh from the store.

Remember, this was a shot in the dark. I inspecteted it and assumed it healthy. I took a chance to save it. I got lucky.
I thought it "could" be an Atlantic, but favored on the "save me" side.
Turned out to be what I was wanting. Again "lucky".
My salt is .025 approx and temp reads 80ish in the sump, truthfully its a sticker and I go by feel.
I'm an ole FW guy, who bred African cichlids and Synodontis Multis for years. 50 % H2o 1x per week was the norm for 750g running. Life with a kid is trulely easier with the 2 SW tanks. 1- 120g is self contained(no sump/the old Frontosa tank my wife stole). That has a breeding pair of GSM with 1 RBTA & 3 BTA's. And now the 125g with 40g sump, that contains the specimen in the topic.
Water changes are the best thing you can do, PERIOD. 10-15 GPH per week, and some love.The wife and kid love it, and thats what counts. I just love the "time out" to "get it done" LOL.
And thanks to everyone in the beginning of the thread, tons of help!!!

Hit the 12 week mark on Thursday. 3 months YAH!
Looks like its going green. Does the color of the mouth have any indication on the color of the nem?
Its mouth has always been limeish green. Some tentacles are turning greenish, and I'm confident its not bleaching again =). It has however moved. It gradually moved from a rock to the overflow. The rock was touching the overflow, so this is a very minor movement and has been moving slightly for 2 weeks now.
Basically in the same spot, just not extending as much to the open area.
Still hosting 3-5 clowns(I think a pair is forming, they are the main 2 hosted) and the nem crab is still there.

Prolly about 1 in a 100 chance, but you never know.
Gotta give him a fighting chance though, water changes and wet skimming. Keeping my fingers crossed, and looking into PH guards.
Guess I'll never underestimate a carpets movements, or a PH's power again.

What part was caught in the powerhead?
Granted, it was a Haddoni, but one of my Haddonis was caught in a SureFlow MJ mod -- just the oral disc, and it made a full recovery. And a couple of years ago I poked my finger through the foot/oral disc of my blue Haddoni. I honestly thought it was going to die from the looks of it -- and if I had been going out of town that weekend, I would have pulled it -- for fear of it fouling my tank. It too made a full recovery.

Actually a picture would help a lot. When mine tan one was caught, I would say that it lost about 1/4 of its total size. That was about 3-4 months ago, has been back to normal for a while now.
As long as it is just the oral disc (( outskirts )) I think that you aren't all that bad off. Its foot being untouched is great.
As for feeding, I would hold off until the weekend. Just let it heal and settle back in. And then when you do feed, try a very small piece, just to make sure it eats it all. And on the off chance that it doesn't, a small piece won;t foul inside of it.
I really think that it will heal up, and then the key will be to find out why it moved, and to cover the PH.

Like Toddrtrex said, don't give up on it. You got it this far and they can be rather tough once healthy.
