carpet net caught in powerhead help

hey guys went to my tank this morning and saw my carpet nem caught in my powerhead.i got em out he was a little beat up i figure he must of let something toxic out the powerhead cause i lost two jawfish and two hawkfish.what can i do to detoxify my tank and also will the carpet recover thanks.

Agreed. A large water change is likely your best bet to remove the nematocysts (sp?) from the water column. Actively running carbon (through a HOB filter or something similar) may help aswell.

Your nem may survive if it wasn't damaged too badly. I suggest protecting it from clowns and other fish until it has a chance to recover. HTH

how do i know the toxin is out my tank i ran carbon and did a waterchange also my skimmer filled up fast a couple times with some light green water that stunk real bad.

Just keep diluting your tank with water changes. You should be able to tell by observing the healthy of the animals in your tank.

i have no more animals in my tank fish wise. all my inverts were not affected coral were not affected,neither were my shrimps or CUC.only the other 5 fish i had in the tank died.and a clarkii clown survived.
