Carpet surfing midas blenny

My midas decided to go carpet surfing this morning. Was pretty rowdy when I went to pick him up off of the floor and stuck him back in the tank (don't think he was out long). Now he is just sitting in one spot looking at everyone. His "breathing" isn't erratic at all. Do you guys think he will be ok?

I had one do the same thing, about 4 hours later he was gone. Hope yours pulls though.

I made a screen top the following day, no more jumpers for me.

There isn't any way that he would've been out of the tank for more than a half hour.

He wasn't acting too great around lights off, sun rise started a few minutes ago and he's no where to be seen. Hoping he pulls through. He's probably my favorite fish in the tank.

Screen top kit from BRS is on order because no one locally carries clear screening.

Bummer, I lost my Midas Blenny from jumping too. Wish there would be more info about them jumping. Liveaquaria should put that they jump from pool to pool and are known jumpers.

The BRS netting works great, I got the same one.

Bad news, for sure. I think the only carpet surfer I've ever had meke it was a snowflake moray I caught the cat playing with. That guy was tough.

I lost a Pygmy Possum Wrasse two weeks ago, one day before my netting order arrived from BRS. :(

Yep, any and all fish are capable of jumping. I've lost a couple clowns and a firefish...all 3 managed to find the holes that weren't covered by the netting. I had a snowflake clown jump too but I got to him in time, he was pretty dry when I found him but he pulled through.
