Hello everyone. I am in the market for an anemone. Dr Mac @ Pacific East has some GREAT deals going on. He has a few 8inch electric green carpet anemones which i think are great and he also has a bunch of green bubble tips. This will be my first anemone so i am wondering what you would pick. Thanks!

Which tank, the 10 or the 75?

What are you lights?

But, if this is your first attempt with anemones I would suggest going with the BTA.

Was type was the carpet? gigantea, haddoni, or mertensii? I would guess Haddoni since there seems to be a lot of green ones lately.

EDIT, just looked at their site, looks like a Haddoni to me.

Yes it is. Plus, from my own experiences, and what I have been reading, the green ones that are now currently available haven't been fairing too well. Perhaps a bacterial infection? They are more sensitive to changes then BTAs.

I would strongly suggest getting a cloned BTA.

The BTA is a better decision in my opinion, but I've also had a lot of success with green carpets as well. It really depends on the anemone.

ha dont worry i will post pictures galore! i hope the actual specimin looks liek the ones pictured. Dr. Mac is usally great about that so i have no doubts that she will be perfect!
