I agree, I have had a couple of SPS frags fall onto my Haddoni, was on a short period of time, maybe a minute or two, and noticed a few bleached spots --- It did recover. The Haddoni looked fine.
Originally posted by criccio I had a torch coral fall into a haddoni overnight and the haddoni was burned where the torch laid. The haddoni did heal in a few days.
I have one large Stichodactyla haddoni and hundreds of S. tapetum in my aquarium. I also have LPS, SPS, Gorgonians, Corallimorphs and softies.
IME Ricordea are more destructive than any of my carpet anemones. I've seen Ricordea kill small carpet anemones.
I agree with criccio, Rod and Gary. . .rics and torches/hammers etc. will win the anemone battle. Zooanthids seem to stay alive, but they don't like the contact.
the rics will lose and the torch/hammer/frogspawn might have a fighting chance. zoo will close up. and clam...depend how often u feed it. mine i feed it every other day, it seem fine touching the clams. but i did quit feed it for a week. my clams...1 died...
IME, ANYTHING my H.Magnifica has touched has lost.. leathers, euphyllia, acan, zoos, mushrooms, anything.. including me, got me in the forearm and it was itching and burning like crazy!!
