cat eyes

I have some in my tank, but they faded when I moved them to lower light. I recently moved them to the upper half of the tank hoping that they will color back as they were an awsome pink when I got them.

tank parameters of some sort... could be lighting - but skirt lengths are typically attributed to differences in flow.

they've exhibited both characteristics in my various tanks.

thanks.
what about stalk lenght? I have heard it could be from lighting either too much or too little, but I have some that are bright as heck and are stretching.

yes, typically stalk length is attributed to lighting. usually too little lighting for that particular zoa induces it to stretch in attempt to get closer to 'the sun' :D

you mentioned you had some that are 'bright as heck' that are stretching - do you mean the zoanthid itself is a bright color? or that they are stretching in a brightly lit tank? if the later, what are the lighting specifications of the tank and at what height are the zoas placed in the tank?
