When I was running an AC fuge, I used a clip on light with a compact florecent daylight bulb. Give a couple of days at least before you throw in the towl. If they haven't died, they'll probably recover.

lol thats the kind I used, Im not quiting saltwater, just the ac fuge lol I wanna get a 10 gal. sump/fuge but I need some guidence.... If anyone can help by explaining what I would need for this, It would be greatly appreciated thanks

I agree with the dude in the red hat and long neck. I once dropped a 250 watt DE fixture in the water...made some very interesting colors.

I see, but what about the 10 gallon sump? can anyone tell me how to do it?? I bought this deal from petco for like 20 bucks and its full of pipes and elbows. Its called a customflo starter kit, I was ganna hook one of the deals to a powerhead for the flow and one to a power head for suction....donno if anyone understands what I am saying but I will see what your response is....
thanks

I'd start with unplugging the light....

Ok, I'll help ya. First thing you need to do is take the "this deal" thingy type waste of your time and money back to that place (petcowetakeyourmoneyandgiveyoulowendstuffbutheywearetrying). Next you need to stop shopping there if your thinking about getting serous in this hobby (unless you find a really good deal on a fish or invert). And then, what all do you have, main tank size and what type of stand and how much room is under it. All you need to do is drain the main tank down to the sump and then push the water from the sump back to the main tank.

And yes I do understand what your talking about and here's why it wont work. No power head is perfectly alike and the suction pump will pull to slow or to fast for the flow pump and you will end up with either a flood or a dry pump or both.

How this helped. If not ask more but I need to know what your working with before I can help more.
