Catching mantis shrimp

I have been trying to catch this thing for months now with NO luck.I have only seen him once(at least I think it was him,it dissapeared quite fast)but I hear the "clicking" every night.I have used a couple different traps with different baits.NO LUCK! Congrats to all who have managed to rid their tanks of them.

How much live rock do you have in the tank? If possible, pull every rock out and pour "soda water" over every rock and he/she will come out quickly. If you want to keep him, put a bucket of saltwater below the rock and it will fall into the bucket. It will burn the critter, but they are hardy and will survive.

try feeding him with a wand or something. I caught all three of mine, by just letting them jump onto my wand with shrimp on them and scooped them up with the net. You can get them to come out with just letting the meat sit for a few mins. they have a great sense of smell and will come out for the raw meat. like i said i caught 3 of them out of my tank this way.
