I have had many threads on this forum about my 2 watchman gobies. They are my favorite fish and are very interesting and suprize me all the time. Out of the pair, one is grey and one is yellow.
A lot of the time, my yellow one starts sifting sand. I have understand this is normal. My grey goby is an odd one though. He is constantly puffing his mouth up very large and somewhat swimming a little in the current then scooting back and repeating it.
I figure they must have some sort of filter in their gills to be able to sift sand, so could it be possible he is filtering particles through the water with his gills? Its normally when the yellow one starts sand sifting that the grey goby does this.
What could this be?
