So I purchased some coral a few weeks ago and have noticed the growth of caulerpa peltata on it. I have looked up some information on it and it is definitely mixed.
I have a 28JBJ with led,no sump/refugium. Currently I grow chaeto in my DT in a container attached with suction cups to the acrylic (love this stuff).
Now with caulerpa peltata, it seems a lot of people are talking about how great of a nutrient export it is, but also that it can go sexual, and easily destroy a tank. I have not kept caulerpa in years and don't recall anything memorable from it. I have a few softies, LPS, SPS. I do have an issue with cyano/phosphates that I have been fighting for a couple of weeks. What do you guys think? Should I just tear it out from the rock and throw it away or should I relocate it to a container next to the chaeto away from any rocks?
Was hoping for some advice from people who have had this type of caulerpa.
Thanks
