caulerpa question

Just as my C. Peltata was really beginning to grow well it has gone sexual. I caught it before it lost all color and disintigrated. I immediately removed about 90% of it, and am hoping that what is left can recover and regrow. Has anyone had caulerpa recover after it has gone sexual?

i lost alot of my caulerpa pasploides before. there were one or two strands that started growing again. imo, thats the drawback of keeping caulerpa in a macro dominant tank.
