hey!

i just got some today, and they look like they have acclimated well--they went from looking like dead skeletons to puffy balls with lots of small sweeper tentacles. they reinflated faster than any anemone i've ever seen!

i have them in a moderate flow, moderate light area (similar to the tank from which they came).

i also have a lot of rotifers and nanno growing in my garage...can i target feed these either of these two foods?

thanks,

tim

Both of those foods are too small to be of much use for a caulastrea. You can try the rotifers, but mine gladly accept cyclopeeze/arctipods, brine, and mysis.

Rotifers are great for some stony corals and gorgonians (think smaller polyped things- Acropora, Stylophora, Seriatopora, Cyphastrea, some Tubastrea). I dont know for sure if theyre an appropriate size for something like a Tridacna gigas or not- I use it for them at any rate. I cant think of many fish that it would be useful for off the top of my head- theyre so small, everything I can think of would be a juvie (clowns, watchman gobies, etc).
