Hello all...
I am a brand new Mantis tank owner.. I will be picking up my 5 inch peacock tomorrow afternoon.. I have setup an eclipse 6 gallon with stock lighting and filtration.. crushed coral and 6 lbs of nice looking live rock. The rock is cured and the water came from my other reef tanks. I also got a 50 watt heater that I will be placing in a section of PVC with holes cut in it.. (just in case he gets a little ****ed and tries to destroy it)..
My question was related to the size of the PVC pipe that many of you use for a cave.. I get my little guy tomorrow but I'm unclear on how "tight" the cave needs to be to make him comfortable.
I'm assuming that he will fill a good portion of it with sand/coral but wanted to get some feedback.. Here is the pic.
