CBB has puffy black spots

Hey there... I have a CBB in QT (sort of, LR & LS in tank too) he recently has shown a few puffy-like balck spots on fin by his false ey and one small one on his lower fin.... I do not think it is balck ich, sounds like that looks like pepper etc... any ideas on cause and treatment? He is eating fine and acting normal....

I see the one spot, but not the other you mentioned. Not clear enough to say if it might be living or not. The CBB is a bit of a sensitive fish sometimes, so treatment can be stressful on it.

I would want to eliminate the possibility of that being a fluke or worm and treat first for that. I'd begin with a freshwater treatment. If the 'spot' didn't drop off, then I'd treat with a series of formalin dips. Basic info on how to do these are found at the links below:
