I'd keep enticing with seafoods/blackworms, make sure the leopard wrasse isn't stealing all the food before it decides to eat.

Might be time to pull up a chair. Normally though stringy poop hangs for a while.

This was 2 weeks ago. Not seeing the same vigor now.

MMM.. I will admit I didn't follow through with a water change after the last round of prazi. It's been 7 days since I dosed.

He looked good in the video. I would increase feedings to 3x/day, this species requires frequent small feedings anyway.

It's hanging out in the corners of the tank. Before it would swim along the front. I don't see any signs of velvet externally. Skin overall is clear. Seems a little more active this evening.. attempted to pick at one piece of mysis but spit it. Breathing is still more rapid than normal.

At this point, the fish probably is not salvageable. Even with tube feeds and no exposure to cyanide, the digestive track has likely atrophied to the point where only predigested formulas and simple sugars could be absorbed. Cyanide sucks because the fish appear and act healthy only to waste away and die.

The malnutrition is likely causing a profound anemia and that is the reason for the rapid respiration and lethargy.

Is there nothing that can reverse the effects of cyanaide? Ive read on wetweb recommends methylene blue to alleviate cyanide. Or it's truly past that point? I'm not being a wise guy, just asking ...

I had him dipped in a 5 minute freshwater bath of it before he left the LFS but had read about it after the fact.

It's probably too late for this guy as alprazo said. I'm going to dose levamisole anyways, then it's all I or anyone could have done. I don't think I would ever go as far as tube feeding a fish.. I might think differently however if it was a gem tang.

And we're out.. levamisole seemed to hasten the death. I just shut the light out and let nature take its course. I had concerns about how much I had dosed, but the hermits I had put in there to clean up all the extra food were still alive.. so pretty much confirms I didn't.

Good to know for the future. I'll be breaking down the QT, cleaning it, and setting it back up for the next round. I do this in between each batch of fish. I just got done leaving it fallow from a tang that died of ich. Frustrating sometimes.
