CBB sudden death

My CBB suddenly died this morning. Earlier in the morning my mom saw him swimming around and then a couple of hours later i went to look at the tank and i saw him flat on the sand bed dead. I had him for close to 5 months now. He ate frozen mysis, brine, and krill. I would enrich the food with selcon, however the past week i havent used selcon as much as i usually do (usually add it to the food everyday). When he wasnt begging for food he would cruise around the tank and pick at the rocks and everynow and then i would watch him flip a turbo snail over and peck at it. Last weekend i added a bunch of pods that were harvested by my LFS (i do this almost every month), which the CBB would eat. None of his tankmates payed him any attention, he was one of the bigger fish in there being about 5-6 inches across. Does anyone have any clue why my favorite fish suddenly died? When i found him his face had a red tint to it and his stomach didnt look as fat as it usually does. Please any insight is greatly appreciated.
