CD's upgrade!!!

Making pretty good progress. Got the cabinet for above the tank built. Gotta swing by lowes to get some drywall & the boards to cover the frames for my doors up top this afternoons.

Nice woodworking skills. I feel bad for you with a 3 foot deep tank. At least you can get your body over it. Invest in high quality loooong tongs

Lol. Yeah it's gonna be interesting placing stuff down low for sure. [emoji51]

Still have to wrap the bottom but it looks like it might come out pretty good.

Tomorrow gonna cut out the holes for my doors & try to get them installed but atleast the wall is back together, should keep my wife happy. [emoji4]. Tape & texture hopefully Wednesday or Thursday & then get my carpet cut to fit & restretched this weekend.

looks better than the original wall. this is the cleanest bow front I've seen... and you're not even finished.

great work!

Just showed my wife this pic... she said she's onboard after our move.

So thanks for the help. Haha

I'm about done on the inside & then I can start plumbing it all. Got the drywall tape & textured. The doors cut out & got the wall painted.

Carpet is gonna be re-stretched tomorrow or Saturday morning & hopefully I'll have the doors done by then as well.

Make sure to paint all surfaces on those access doors and the back of the wall. A tank will produce a lot of humidity that will destroy unprotected surfaces.

Thanks Dave. Will paint work for that?? I've been tryin to figure out what to do about that issue with this much water.

If you do it properly with an undercoat and two top coats (acrylic), yes, it should be fine. An alternative would be to apply three coats of a urethane coating like Polyurethane.

Thanks Dave. Will definitely look into that. I've really been worried about this issue, especially where the drywall was cut. [emoji51]
