Cebuan radial filefish

I would guess they eat zoas, possibly aptasia, maybe some lps. I wouldn't put them in my reef.

Neat looking fish.

Given they are from LA they should arrive healthy and eating. Filefish are becoming a more popular import. If your really into them you can send LA an email about them and likely find out when they get them in next time.

That filefish is beautiful. I have a matted (aptasia eating) filefish and I love it. Cute lil bugger. So far it hasn't eaten anything but mysis. I even saw him take a piece from an aptasia, lol. I know they can eat zoas, GPS, etc. but mine has shown no interest, I only have a small frag of plain old zoas that broke off a rock in my biocube, so it's kind of like a test piece.

I live in Florida and i see filefish all the time on the beach hideing inside the algea floteing on the water, I got 2 local 1's from a friend and they have wiped out all my aptisa and plus they like being the main attention of the tank : )

How do they treat your LPS, SPS, and clams?

Glad to hear you scored a pair and they are behaving with your corals, I have kept several of the aiptasia eating files and they are closely related. Mine never touched any corals either. I really like the smaller species of filefish, sort of like mini triggers without the aggression.
