cement to keep rocks together

You could use a two-part marine epoxy, but drilling and putting PVC through it is sturdier.

You kind of lost me on that one. I am a newbie? I got a coral, it is attached to a small piece of rock, but I want to attach it to a bigger rock.

superglue gel?? like that they sell in the stores?

yep. the loctite brand works best.

Aquamend has worked the best for me. It is a marine epoxy mostly used for boating. But works great on rockscape.

Available in any Home Depot or Lowes

I have used this for all of my rock work and has proven to be the best and wont leach chemicals back into the water, Coraline algae (the good algae will also adhere to this within weeks as well)

Ahh...now I get. Yep: Glue.

ok, One piece of the coral is attached to a bit of rock, I turn it upside down, so it is still in the water, or is it ok for it to be out of the water,? then attach the glue to both pieces? Then right back in?

OK to come out of the water. Attach them with glue and press them together for a few seconds (maybe a minute) and then plunk... back in the water.

Thanks, After 1 1/2 years, I am still having a lot to learn. I was not able to do much with my tank for a long time, adding anything, because of my algae problem, but now I think I have that taken care of.still learning!!!!

Here is an excellent thread on gluing frag plugs and rocks, there are pictures too. I have found that using epoxy and superglue gel together works better than either alone. This describes the process.
