Center Brace Repair

So while moving my 45 gal long tank I leaned on the center brace and snapped it. What's the best kind of glue, adhesive, etc to repair it?

What I have found works the best is to use a piece of acrylic (1/4" works best) to replace the broken brace. Cut it to length and ~ width, then put it in place. Drill two holes in each end and also through the edge of the plastic trim. At that point, you can cut off most of the broken brace, leaving maybe an inch or so on each end. Use nylon nuts and bolt to hold it all together. I have a 120g tank that has been that way for at least 15 or 20 years.

IMHO The majority of the DT's weight bared by the stand is done the stands corners, hence, when I needed to upsize the sump for my 90 gal tank, I cut the front middle center brace, inserted the larger sump, then used bar stock along the full width of the sump's "space with bar stock and added another piece of bar stock from the bottom of the DT to the bar stock below. This has stood w/o issue for over 2 years now.

I think he is talking about his tank, not his stand. I would also replace it/ repair it with a strip of acrylic and nylon bolts and nuts.

Or duct tape....LOL JK
