ceramic in tank?

I read that you could use ceramic tiles for frag plugs? Anyone try that before? Is there anything you need to do to the tiles before you put it in the tank?

Nope ... just put them in. There are lots of places you can get ceramic frag plugs and disks. You could also just do like you said and buy the fired ceramic tiles. It is just clay that is baked at about 1200 degrees

If there is coloring on the product it may not be safe for the reef but just fired ceramic is good.
