Ceramic Rings & Bioballs

I'm setting up a 6 gallon nano cube. I got live rock and sand in it and I'm waitting for it to cycle. I'm planning to add some clown fishes and coral. I've read in some places that bioball are not good. My question is: Do I need the ceramic rings and Bioballs? Do I just leave the carbon?

Thanks.

People usually get rid of the bioballs and the ceramic rings because they can become nitrate factories. You can run the carbon but not really necessary. You can put live rock rubble in place of rings and bioballs to aid in filtration.

First off, take the 6 gallon back to where you got it and get at least a 10 gallon if you want to keep clown fish.

I would agree that 6 gallons is too small for clown fish. Maybe try a Goby instead if you don't want to increase your tank size.
