Chadfarmer And Kentrod11

Ask for some pics of it in action. How do you know it works by looking at a empty skimmer?

I'm thinking of getting a 300 to 400 gallon tank in the future . I think this skimmer would work well for what I have in mind .

Should be just right

Hmmm, four becketts to feed 1000gph to is a lot of electricity consumption. I would look for a recirculating needle wheel design instead.

do you like a lot of noise because a pump to run that skimmer is going to be noisy and will have to be pressure rated (maybe dual pumps)

also do you like making adjustment to your skimmer every day to every couple days

also

if i were you i would suggest a needle wheel skimmer with more than one pump

why not look at the asm skimmer all the people on the board that have them running

trigger system ts1000 protein skimmer

I havew a large skimmer now with two pumps one is a gx9000 needle wheel pump .

I don't feel as if there is enough air bubbles still

John

For the $800 you would spend on that beckett you may as well get the ASM G6 with 3 sedra 9000s on it for $150 less... Remount the pumps recirculating and it'll It'll out perform that beckett with half the electricity. Go look at the Zeovit boards and see how many of those guys are running beckett skimmers: Almost none...Besides, to maximize the potential of that beckett skimmer, you would need to run 1000GPH through each head- That's a lot of noise, electricity and initial cost....

Could you post a pic of how you have the pump connected currently and another of the reaction chamber while it's running?

I think I'm going to hook up another genx6000 needlewheel pump to it tonight . That will be two genx6000 needlewheel pumps on this one skimmer . If that doesn't give the amount of small bubbles I am looking for then its the BUBBLE KING for me .
