Just wondering if chaetomorpha compete for nutrients with photosynthetic corals such as xenia and mushrooms. My refugium is completely filled with chaeto and my nitrates are 0. I don't want to remove the chaeto since it's working so well to remove nitrates but my shrooms and xenia are not growing it seems... alas I will remove some chaeto tonight from the refugium and see how the corals respond in the next few days.
