Chaeto Experiment Failed

I am okay with that - hopefully that means that I am winning phosphate and nitrate battle. Test say I am and I think my green rocks are turning back to natural colors. Of course it could mean my nuisance algae out competed my desired algae.

Here is the question- Should I keep my fuge light (4 led light) going at night as schedule for the PH balancing effect?

the theory that it keeps PH balance is at best mythical- guess add that to the list of things for me to read this weekend.

uh, chaeto grows in very low nutrients- well.

It needs massive light.
Not sure what LED's yoy have- but if they're low W wimpy ones- that was your problem,
not the low nutrients. Been there- Done that- Whats next?

I was looking at my light placement and might not have gotten it directly on Chaeto enough :(

it is only 4 bulbs and it pretty directly shots across tank
