chaeto ideas

My tank is layed out like this.

I want to keep chaeto in the sump area, but it keeps getting sucked into the pumps or becomes a big trap for detritus that comes over the overflow/divider. Does anyone have any creative ideas I could use to keep chaeto better. It really helps I think in a nano tank.

You could make a guard around each pump with something like gutter guard. Its cheap but effective and should keep the chaeto at bay.

theres a design out i think by calfo that shows a way to keep the ball of chaeto rolling or spinning in your sump
