Chaeto in a breeder box

I was planning on using a breeder box to hold some chaeto in my DT. It would also act as a safe spot for pods to breed. I know pieces of chaeto can break off, but would they be small enough pieces to get through the slits to the main tank?

Should I just shove a bunch behind some rocks instead?

A breeder box would work fine, but a refugium would be preferable because you could hold a lot more chaeto, causing better nutrient reduction.

Welcome, Albertchoi81!

I put chaeto in my display, under a rock. I was never able to fully remove it, so I'd say ere on the side of caution. The box sounds safer, and you can make it safer by adding screening or something similar. If you can prevent escape of chaeto while allowing escape of pods, it's a great idea.
