Chaeto in the display tank?

can chaeto be kept in the main display tank?

I dunno, it's just such a big, clumpy thing--- you COULD but--- I prefer it in the refuge.

i don't have a refuge. I was thinking a small clump somewhere in the corner???

I have chaeto in my display with a live rock holding it to the sand. I also have a shower soap dish and placed it under HOB filter.

does it matter where you place it in the display tank??

Near the top, near flow?

I find it very forgiving. I've had it under very low flow and low light for weeks and it's still as green as ever.

Make sure you dont have tangs... they eat almost every algae even chaeto.

It likes low flow, as long as you sheke it once a week
