Chaeto in the overflow box ?

Hello again ~
I nave NO room for a fuge & I was wondering if I can use the overflow box in my 54 gal corner tank (all-glass twin flow ) to put chaeto or other micros in ?
I could put some small light inside the box -

Generally, its best to keep the OF clear of anything that may impede flow. Worst case is the algae would block enough flow out of the box to allow the tank to overflow. So my advise would be keep the OF clear.

I agree, putting anything in there is like playing chicken with your tank...it might work but you might also come home to an empty tank one day
