+1 - I have it on for about 12 hours when the lights are off.

I've always lit my 24 hours a day and gotten great growth

I can't fit mine in my sump so I've got a breeder box with a return nozzle pointing into the top being held in place with my mag float. I run a 12hr lighting cycle and remove a good chunk every week.
