gracilla ?sp is great for tangs but is really hard to grow. chaeto is easy to grow ,but it takes a lot to have noticable effect on nutrient reduction. in your case, i'd set up a fuge for pod production and a slight improvement on water quality.mandarins are cool fish ,that take a bit of work for long term sucess. i'd look into mandarin dinners,training to eat prepared food , and building in tank "pod factories". cf sells pods to help kick start your tank. there is a good sticky on mandarins on the main forum.
