Is Chaeto supposed to be just the "hairy stuff" Or does it have a section that looks like caulerpa that the hairy stuff starts out of. I bought some chaeto a while back and it was hairy stuff with the caelerpa lookin stuff attatched...and now all it is is a ball of fishing line with no apparent starting stalk or whatever....maybe something in my fuge ate the other part of it...I know what you're thinking right now...a pic would help...hehe, but my camera is out of batteries right now.
Also...does chaeto need a good amount of flow to be a productive nutrient export?
