Chaeto w/ white spots?

About 5 days ago I added a light to the back of my AP 24 (one of those 5700k curly q bulbs) along with a wad of Chaeto. Today I noted some white showing up on some of the strands. My light runs about 18 hrs/day.

Is this something to be concerned with?

I've noticed it too on some of mine, but it seems to be on the ends of the strands, curious myself, perhaps it weak strands dying off?

I've had it in about 2 weeks now. I started turning it every few days and it seems to be doing well. Also, the white spots seem to have disappeared.
