Still on the hunt for some. Chaetto. Having a minor slime algae outbreak and want some in my sump. Anybody in Roanoke have some for cheap? Thanks
 
Can you post a pic. It might not be an algae but a bacteria. If so fresh water maracyn will clear that up. Add one pkt a day for four days. Turn off skimmer and and carbon that you have running on your tank. after seven days do a 20% water change run carbon on your tank and turn your skimmer way down. Reef safe :D

heres a pic of the funk. dont have a phosphate test but oddly nitrates tested 0 ! its isolated to this corner for now and doesnt seem to be spreading

Yes that is Cyanobacteria.
While ther is no conclusive evidence there are several factors that seem to contribute to the bloom of cyano. There are some areas that need to be looked at, too much proteins in the water column, lack of water flow, the presence of phosphates and nitrates and high intensity poor quality lighting. Even though maracyn will take care of it if the above is not looked at there is a good chance that it could come back.
