How often do you trim yours? how many to keep in the tank is ideal? isn't as much as you can keep in the sump is better?

I dont use chaeto anymore but I would trim mine every few weeks. You just want to make sure its growing at a good pace all the time. That means making sure its not completely overgrown in your refugium. I would let mine grow out to almost the width of my refugium and then remove half of it. Im sure there are opinions on this though.

I cant really grow chaeto anymore but red gracilaria thrives in my tank. Let me know if you are ever close by and I can give you a bag of it Randy. It's good for nutrient export and tangs like to eat it.
