chaeto

Can anyone recommend an online vendor that sells chaeto? Liveaquaira and Seacrop have been out of it for the last month. I would get it from my LFS but they keep fish with their chaeto. Since there are fish in the tank with the macroalgae there's always the chance that there could be ich present and this could then be introduced to my tank via the chaeto. I dont want to go through the trouble of having to quarantine chaeto. Thanks.

There's alot more than just ich that could come in with cheato, flatworms, aiptasia, hydroids. I would QT it regardless. I hve heard that cheato can be rinsed in freshwater, but not sure for how long, or how long it may take to rid the cheato of any pest organisms.

How many people quarantine their chaeto and is it really necessary as an ich preventive practice. I just bought some chaeto from an LFS that kept it with some snails. Thanks for everyones' response/feedback in advance.

For some reason I doubt many people are QT'ing their cheato, but I could be wrong. If the system the cheato was kept in also contained fish then there is a possibility that ich could be transpoted with it. I QT everything and have been doing so for some time. I have too much investment to risk it to a 2 dollar snail.
