i was just wondering where all of you guys get your chaeto from??? after building my fuge i now would like to pickup some chaeto this weekend but not really sure where i can find some....any suggestions??

If you want to run out here to Tamarac you can have a sandwich baggie full from my fuge.

I never see it for sale at the LFS.
I had to buy a couple baggies off of Ebay to start my fuge.

I have a question...are there different kinds of cheato?
I had gotten a piece from a frined but this cheato is like fail...
I mean it breaks off smaller pieces like if it was brittle.
I have seen some that is very flexible?
Is the brittle cheato just a sick or infected cheato? It's very green in color, not pale or funny looking...

I'm sure that just like any other plant or animal, different clumps of chaeto from around the world are going to have different characteristics/strains.

One thing for sure is that chaeto is "designed" to naturally spread by breakage.
