I have some excess chaeto and have just built a koi pond behind my house.

Question: Do you guys think the Chaeto will help the phophates and nitrates in the koi pond or will it die?

I beleive chaeto is a salt water plant, your pond is fresh water, and will not support chaeto growth. However, proof of the pudding is to throw some of the excess chaeto you have in the pond, and see what happens. My guess is it will die quickly.

Chaeto will die in FW. But I think that the fish would probably eat it. Some of my FW fish eat it, and koi love plants, so I would assume that they would.
