hey guys. I am interested in keep this butterfly......in my reef. I have done some reading and of course all the literature says No. Im not looking for someone to say Yes, because I will ultimatly be making that decision for myself.

However I would like to know what to expect it to destroy. It is an SPS dominated reef. I have no softies and 2 acans. I like the acans but, im a fish guy and SPS does it for me, no need for acans if they are the thing holding me back. what do you guys think? I know all hermits are toast, but what about the big torchus snails, the guys that can flip themselves back over. It is a 200 gallon system and is dominated by fairy wrasses.

If you like it, try it. Just have a trap handy in case you have to remove it.

thanks peter, I was hoping youd post. How is yours doing? Do you think they would destroy SPS or LPS and softies. thanks in advance for your help

Mine is doing very well, thanks. But I really have no clue about it in a reef, long term. I'm even finding my yellow longnoses to get a little nippy with corals if not fed enough, so....

i know its pretty hard to get info on these guys, considering not many people own them,I think your the only one I know of at least. Maybe lemon too
