There isn't a lot of information on this beautiful butterfly, so I thought I'd put up what I've observed.

I received one a couple of months ago from blue zoo aquatics WYSIWG. From what I remember it was ~$50. It is ~3" in length and was quite healthy looking when I received it. I can't tell if it's a male or female.

I put him into a 20 gallon long QT with prazipro and some copper (didn't check levels). My QT has a koralia powerhead, a reg fluorescent light, sand, an octopus HOB skimmer that is only used for water circulation (the air intake is closed), several PVC pieces, and a piece of chaeto. I changed ~50% of the water once/week. temp ~80.

Initially, the fish didn't eat for 2-3 days, but then slowly started to pick at frozen brine and mysis. I kept him in QT for ~ 4 weeks. Once he was eating ok I transferred him to my established 125 fowlr.

He almost always out and about and is not particularly skittish.

He has now been in there for ~2.5 months and is quite robust and will eat the following:

mysis, brine, sera pellets, not that into NLS pellets, loves spirulina flakes, hikari mega marine angel. he also picks at the liverock a fair amount.

He has never demonstrated any witnessed aggression towards a variety of fairy and flasher wrasses, gobies, kole tang, firefish, lemonpeel angel, and a matted filefish.

I have never seen him picking on the inverts in my system which include 2 urchins, tiger tail cucumber, snails, hermit crabs, and emerald crabs.

can't comment about corals as I only have 2 pathetic sun corals.
