Chaetodontoplus hardiness

I love the chaetodontoplus genus of angels.

I'm interested in their relative hardiness.

meredithi
duboulayi
personifer
mesoleucus
melanosoma
chrysocephalus
caeruleopunctatus
septentrionalis
conspicullatus

hardiness ranking imo from hardiest to least hardy... all are pretty rock solid once established.
personifer
duboulayi/conspic
meredithi/septentrionalis
mesoleucus
melanosoma/caeruleopunctatus

I love these fish as well, my favorite angel genus by far. I've kept the blueline and Meridithi and found both to be very hardy, even with tiny to older juveniles in the case of the blueline, can't speak about persononal experience with the others.

I am huge fan also. My favorite genus of any type of fish. I have found them to be quite hardy as well. Don't seem to be overly aggression compared to other genus' of angels.

My meredithis are extremely susceptible to ich. I think I read smewhere it's because they have very small scales? Otherwise, very hardy.

I purchased a Black Velvet from DD a few months back. It is currently about 2 inches and holds it's own with a much larger Eibl's angelfish and a Purple Tang. It definitely seems to have a little "attitude" to it. Not aggressive or anything, but extremely personable when I'm around the tank.

Whenever the next upgrade comes, I'd like to acquire others from the genus.
