I'm wondering what the least/most amount of light this stuff will grow under? In my fuge I have calurpa growing slowly under one 23w compact screw in GE bulb. The tank is also full of coraline algae. Today I just added a nice mat of chaeto to the fuge and added another 23w compact bulb. The home type compact bulbs produe a lot of red spectrum light that algae like right? Anyway, will it grow well ? 13 hours a day the lights will be running. Has anyone experamented with lights on all the time in their fuge verses time with the lights out for a few hours? Plants need time out to resparate carbon right? I see people posting that they run the fuge lights all the time. Just curious about the actual results.

I am with dubbin.. Melev's thread saved me from spending way too much for so called fuge lighting. I had the same results with growth. I had to use two of these though as my fuge was a little deeper than most.
