Chalice bone?

Is this chalice beginning to deteriorate? Water parameters are in acceptable ranges. I have very low flow where its placed and lighting is aso low. About two weeks after having it the spot appeared. Any suggestions or I.d. on the spot located top right?

Many people keep their chalices at higher alk and mag level.

You can try to target these parameters.
Alk: 10
Calc: 450
Mag: 1350

A couple of my chalices also started to recede initially when dropped into my tank but they both recovered. How long has the skeleton been exposed?

Thanks little fish, I'll have to find me a good magnesium test and start doses of supplements, I've only done water changes to maintain 440 calcium and 9 alk.

Chgob, I've had them about 3 weeks and the skeleton came out about 3 days ago.
