I've had this chalice piece in my tank for a few weeks. It's growing and looking great, but this morning I came in and found 2 pieces of skin looking substance hanging. One fell off before I could take this pic. They remind me of the stingers my hammer coral puts out but the hammer's are much longer. Is it asexual reproduction, necrotic tissue or something else? Looked online but couldn't find any info concerning this, hopefully someone here has seen this before. (it's the little tag of flesh on the top right corner of the frag, the brown blob on the frag stem is the part that fell off before I could take the pic. No parts look necrotic or like it's dying.
