chalice help

so yesterday i got 2 chalices from another tank that are a bit receeded and stressed (params werent stable in that tank).

i gave them an iodine dip and introduced them to my tank and so far they look ok. both chalices have a few mouths still.

im just wondering if there is any extra care i can give them other than stable params to bring them back.

Try keeping them happy and feed them twice a week

Definitely save-able. Just keep parameter stable. Make sure to light- acclimate it. Then feed it and should be good in no time.

Leave it in low light and low flow for now... As long as your parameters are stable and it's eating it will recover...

Would it be better to trim the dead skeleton off or leave it as is?

I would leave them low and slowly acclimate them to light to see how they respond. I personally wouldn't mess with cutting anything. They will re grow over the dead area when they are happy.
