Chalice-ish

It doesnt have the "shape" of a chalice but it has the colors of a watermelon chalice. any ideas what exactly it is? paid 60 bucks for it, and it looks a bit ruff, it should pull through nicely.

It looks kinda like a scroll coral but like a montipora cap too. What do the polyps look like?

Just give it some time. Try to spot feed it too, like some mysis shrimp or some cyclops.

the skeleton is showing in spots, and im worried it may not recover. is that something i should pay special attention to? spoon feed me some care ideas.

Check out Steveoh and The Beaut. I'm willing to bet it the same. I've seen this chalice basically the same with different steaks of teal patterns. The red is awesome once it colors up.

If your looking for a classification, it is definatley a challice(although a more vague term than people realize, it seems) but more than likely an Oxypora specie
