chalice question

I have a purple blue chalice with pink mouths that I have had for 6 months. I notice a few days again alittle recession on the end. I don't have a dremel so i attempted to break the receeded bit off and it now has receeded a little more. All other chalice corals and other corals are fine. should I leave it or attempt to find a dremel and cut a little further in. the part to receed was about 1/6th of an inch.

thanks for the help.

I can't figure out the problem. everything else is fine. It has continured to receed. Any ideas of what I should be looking for? Just can't figure this out and don't want to loose the entire piece. thanks

Anything like a hammer/frogspawn/torch in the tank? Anything with sweepers that could be doing the damage at night?

Just out of curiosity are there any special care instructions for chalice? Does it need to be spot fed or anything? Ideal light ,etc?
