Chalice Spot

I bought an Atlantic Pastel Chalice a while back and it has been growing just fine. It is a lavender color, looks flat during the day and erupts in polyps at night. It is very cool looking. Today I noticed a lighter colored circle on it near one of the polyps. There is nothing distinctive about it otherwise I would post a picture. It's also so small that a picture may not show anything. Should I be worried about it? Anyone have anything similar happen?

someone? here's a picture -- not very clear but it really is just a white circle...

Not one person has an opinion? Unusual for RC. As I was thinking about it there was apiece of something I thought was food that was on this spot -- perhaps it was something else? There is nothing on it now -- will the spot heal? Someone must have had something similar happen to a chalice -- come on folks -- someone chime in ....

Sherri, I'd help if I could but I have no idea. I know reefready has a watermelon that has a dark spot on it that does not seem to impact the growth of the chalice. I would probably just keep an eye on it after checking water parameters and ruling out anything environmental. If I was really concerned I'd move it to a QT tank.

Good luck.

Thanks Erin -- I just thought maybe someone had had something like this happen. Chalices tend top be flat and must get something on them occasionally. Water params are fine as of last weekend -- everything else is fine.

It is a spot where something was sitting on it -- there is still flesh.

I target fed mine last night and had to keep knocking the blue legs off of it! It did seem to enjoy the grub!
